Note that while these courses are being offered by TESDA, the TESDA-accredited institution near you might not offer them. Below are the construction-related courses offered by TESDA.
Technical Drafting NC II
The Technical Drafting NC II Qualification encompasses a wide range of skills that aspiring professionals need to acquire if they are hoping to pursue a career in building and construction. This program offers students the chance to learn how to create architectural drawings with detailed layout plans for structural, electrical, sanitary, and mechanical components. Once a student passes all the necessary core units, they will be awarded a National Certification II (NC II) as proof of their mastered skills.
Masonry NC I, NC II & NC III
This TESDA program comprises essential construction classes that aspiring masons need in order to learn how to successfully execute various building tasks such as building brick and concrete block structures, installing precast handrails, and plastering a concrete wall. Students who complete all the necessary units will be granted a certificate of completion which will qualify them to become masons.
Diploma in Civil Technology
A course offered at the Marikina Polytechnic University of the Philippines, the Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (DCvET) is a program that aims to equip students with the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to pursue careers as civil engineering technicians. This program also focuses on developing the necessary construction work-related skills like surveying, drafting, material testing, and quantity surveying. It also offered a structural detailing and design course in course to produce graduates who are competent in civil engineering technology.
Electrical Installation And Maintenance NC II
The Electrical Installation and Maintenance TESDA qualification includes a set of skills, such as installation and maintenance of electrical wiring, lighting, and associated equipment and systems. These skills can be used in residential buildings where the voltage does not exceed more than 600 volts. Individuals who complete the necessary training and units will have the qualification to become building-wiring electricians, residential or commercial-wiring electricians, and maintenance electricians.
